Résumé:
Television has expanded its culture through its power to penetrate all
angles of life in society. It is considered that, in a country like Brazil today, the
television and the Mass Media that is best able to promote
socialization of knowledge, often dispensing with reading to have
access to information that, without this vehicle, would be the privilege of only a few.
And in our interest, to better understand, through theoretical and field investigations,
some elements that characterize the "media effects", coming from the power of
designation of television media about children and youth. In this context, we are concerned
with the privilege given by television, entertainment and the production of clippings
of reality according to the dominant representations, which involves the
impossibility of becoming a democratic vehicle for education and awareness of
pastas.
