Resumen:
The research was carried out at Sitio Olho D'agua, located in the city of Amparo-PB, located in the mesorregion of Borborema and microregion of Cariri Ocidental in the state of Paraíba. The property has an area of 9.9 hectares, is situated at Latitude 7 0 32'36.85 "S and Longitude 37 ° 2'33.60" W. The cariri has an average annual temperature of 24 ° C and precipitation of 350 to 700mm. The strain used for breeding was GLK (Chicken Bankiva), a strain produced by AVIFRAN (French Poultry). The objective was to analyze the behavior and well-being of the wild birds, in order to find the causes that caused the reduction of egg production. The study was exploratory and descriptive, data were collected in informal conversation with the owners. We used the tools AutoCad2007, GPS Garmim, Track Maker for sizing the installations. The aviaries presented a high density of birds, which possibly caused stress due to the high internal temperatures of the facilities. Another problem was the sizing of the facilities and equipment, which affected the productive performance, impairing the expression of genetic potential in egg production. It was observed the great importance in the correct dimensioning of the facilities and equipment, as well as the use of the recommended density in the literature, providing the best comfort and well-being of the birds, favoring a better feed conversion and thus becoming the most productive activity, profitable and profitable.
