Abstract:
This paper aims to focus on the Teaching of Art: the importance of art in the
learning process. This study investigates the reality of teaching art in public
schools, as well as the understanding of students about art, and discuss the
teaching of art and its different languages, aimed at training the student as a
cultural producer. Based on case study research, which is characterized by the
study of a particular phenomenon within a qualitative approach, because it was
concerned with understanding and interpretation of the phenomenon,
considering the significance that others take their practices. To conduct the
study were used as instruments for data collection observation, interviews, and
documentary sources, ported in New Cultural History, which extend the concept
of sources. This is a work that seeks to develop activities that address the
principles presented throughout the activities carried out in Supervised
Teaching in order to improve the training of students through arts education,
and the principle of indivisibility of teaching and research . We come to the
conclusion that the prospect of work provided a new focus on the production of
knowledge and theoretical and methodological basis of the teaching of art can
be a means of understanding and reflection of reality didactic-pedagogic and
socio-cultural, since the art is essential for the formation of human begins.
