Résumé:
Hospital pedagogy and a teaching modality inserted in Education
Special that defends the specialized pedagogical-hospital assistance to
children / adolescents unable to attend regular education for a long time
or short period, due to physical or psychological illnesses, The same and
ensured by the 1996 Law of Guidelines and Bases which states the formalization
hospital classes. Based on this statement, this monograph studied the
importance of educational support for hospitalized children,
always bearing in mind that the right to education should not be second
plan and that it can be an auxiliary means of "treatment" for children
hospitalized, since every child has the need to continue
integrated with your social environment. Knowing the importance of studying, as well as
coexistence with the social environment that the school provides for the child, this
work presents what hospital pedagogy is, its importance for
the maintenance of the intellectual and social faculties of the hospitalized child and
also its contribution to its physical recovery. This was done
used as an instrument of data collection, observation, sources
bibliographic sources, in addition to documentary sources, such as: portfolio and
field, built in the performance of the supervised internship. This research
made it possible to confirm the need for a pedagogical accompaniment to
the rehabilitation of the sick child and that despite the hospital pedagogy
being a new theme, the performance of these classes are still scarce,
mainly in the state of Paraíba.
