Résumé:
This work aimed to discuss the contributions of developmental psychology to the learning process, based on the Cognitive Development Theory developed by Jean Piaget that highlights the genesis of human intelligence. To this end, it does not cover a summary of the vast work of this author, but rather factors considered necessary for the construction and development of learning resulting from the intellectual process of students in the context of the classroom. The methodology relied on field research and explanatory research through a qualitative approach to the data. Other documentary sources of research were also used, such as memoirs and narratives, built during its development. As a locus of knowledge with a view to approximating
analyzed reality, it can be added that the experiences lived in this period
made it possible, in the midst of the results obtained, to verify Piaget's studies on the variation of the subject's skills and competences at a certain moment in the evolution of human thought, by dealing in this case with the difficulties presented by some students in solving the activities proposed in classroom, as it made possible, in the midst of these learning problems, improvements in the elaboration of new strategies and subsidies to the realization of more dynamic and attractive classes, these guided by the effective relationship between theory and practice developed in the school context. It was concluded, therefore, the importance of the educator's prior knowledge regarding the child's ability to think and know, considering the diversity of aspects that mark the pace of development and learning, through the elaboration and realization of certain activities developed by teachers in the classroom class, which proposes us to reflect, in a more intense way, on the construction of epistemological knowledge, in the midst of the process of construction and reconstruction of knowledge that defines the subject as an active and participant in his intellectual development process.
