Resumen:
This study aims to analyze Symbolic Violence: pejorative nicknames within the
school, because in the face of countless situations and cases of violence, the nickname and the most
common among students, in which the victim can develop various types of
behaviors, such as; the refusal to go to school, to exclude themselves from other colleagues,
disinterest in learning, becoming depressed, loss of self-esteem and with serious
traumas. For these and so many other reasons, we elaborated the following question:
How the school can prevent this type of Symbolic violence inside the classroom
of the 5th year of elementary school? To answer this problem
we elaborate the following objectives: to analyze types of behaviors, relative to
pejorative nicknames of 5th grade elementary school students; identify and
describe the existence of the pejorative nickname in the classroom and discuss the best
way to work this type of symbolic violence with students.
theoretical basis we use the following scholars: Abramovay Na (2003);
Debarbieux & Blaya (2002); Galvao (2004); Vereda (2007), among others. This one
study is divided into three chapters: in the first we present the rationale
theoretical framework in which we discuss the existence of verbal and / or physical aggressions
educators have not always given due importance. It is worth noting that this
disguised violence does not only occur inside schools, but in several
sectors where we describe there are relationships to interpersonal contextualization.
In the methodological procedure of the school field of study; Relationship between
researcher and the research subject; Knowing the students participating in the
search; Data collection steps and finally in the data analysis chapter
we present the students' understanding of the theme worked on. Saw
through statements that students don't like to be nicknamed, but when they are,
retaliate aggressively, further increasing the level of violence in the room
of class.
