Abstract:
The building of Single Health System advanced substantially in recent years and every day
the evidence of the importance of the Family Health Strategy as the structuring core of
Primary Health Care is strengthened. However, the new work processes find themselves
changed due to the work organization in a capitalist way of production as well as the health
work that changes according to the productive processes and the needs generated in social
relationships. In that perspective it is highlighted the necessity of improvements in service to
the population in the health professionals who need to qualify. This study aimed to
characterize the profile of team workers and their work organization in the Family Health
Units of city in the high Paraiban inlands, in order to identify the standards of commitment
with the employing organization and with the work of the professionals working in Family
Health Strategy. The present research is about an observational, cross-sectional, quant
qualitative, with statistical analysis and procedure, comparative and descriptive study. The
study was conducted in the Family Health Units in the city of Cajazeiras - PB. Using a study
population with 230 active professionals in this service, including doctors, nurses, nursing
technicians, community health workers, dental surgeons and dental assistants. Data was
collected through semi-structured questionnaire and interview, previously tested. The study
variables were: the socio-demographic (gender, age, education and place of residence) and
behavioral characteristics, as well as related to the work process. The study sample was
constituted of 46 professionals in full professional exercise, selected through stratified
sampling technique. It was verified that there is a lack of motivation in the SHS workers
(Cajazeiras), resulting from a series of poorly conducted processes and minimal opportunities
for discussion, being reflected in a fragmented work. It was found in the units a high number
of permanent workers acting only during a single work shift; high fragmentation in the
process of team work; low capacity of interlocution (approximation, bond and responsibility)
with the Family Health Teams and other network services; low accumulation of structural
concepts for understanding in the organization of the Single Health System and ultimately,
health services who served and attended the interests of certain groups and individuals. In this
perspective, it is considered that the professionals and the public health management should
take to the wheel of primary central discussions concerning the health care of the user, in
order to modify the current practices and implement relevant devices in the process of
organization or reorganization of health practices. It is a challenge today, in the city of
Cajazeiras, get the Single Health System to be strengthened, providing quality services guided
by caring actions, whole, resolutive, and meet the needs of the user-citizen.
