Resumo:
This monographic work presents considerations on moral and social development
its implications for the formation of young children. It points out the difference between morality and
ethics in dialogue with characteristics of both in Brazilian society. Points to
importance of a society sensitive to moral progress in childhood and of institutions
how the family and the school act as parameters for this progress. Thus, we resort to
to several theorists to consolidate this work, such as: Paulo Freire, Adolfo Vazquez,
Terezinha Rios and David Fontana. The methodology relies on the Case Study research,
so that the qualitative approach, the research results are consistent with the
theories that served as presuppositions for the construction of this work, that verified a
deficit in teaching and in the moral and therefore ethical development of children,
evidencing this as a reflection of the environment in which they live and the ethics of this society.
It also uses the New Cultural History, basing this work with the sources
research: Documentary Narratives. It approaches the internship as essential for the
formative enrichment in the exercise of the theory and practice relationship, in which
presented situations in the teaching-learning process that needed
sensitivity and humanization methodologies, factors widely discussed in the
trajectory of this academic formation. It concludes that moral development and a
complex aspect of child education that goes from acting at school, advancing
cognitive, personality genesis until evolving and reaching alterity, which announces the
need for deeper reflections on morality and its implications for education
of being.
