Resumen:
The present study aims to analyze the applicability and effectiveness of urgent protective measures at the Specialized Police Station for Women's Care in the city of Sousa-PB. This approach is extremely important in view of the reiteration of the cases of domestic and family violence perpetrated against women throughout the country. Therefore, a study of this nature is necessary as a way of understanding and rethinking solutions to this problem. Therefore, it adopts the deductive method as a method of approach, evolutionary history as a procedure method, and bibliographical and documentary research as research techniques. And it starts from the following problematic: Is there effective in the application of urgent protective measures to the cases of violence against women in the Municipality of Sousa-PB? Thus, it is perceived that despite all socio-juridical evolution regarding the equality of rights between men and women, it is still a sad reality that plagues society, for that, it was evidenced in such research the existence of gaps social and legal issues that impede a greater effectiveness in the application of these measures, since the absence of a more precise action on the part of the Public Power with respect to the inspection in the fulfillment of the measures of protection, aiming at the combat and eradication of the violence existing.
