Résumé:
The climateric is a process characterized for decline of the ovary steroid hormones slid female
oldness, who can to unchain or not some neurogenic, psychogenic and metabolic changes,
with possibility of social and economic conditions lived for ones to influence in this question.
This research had the general objective to understand the climateric's sintomatology, in
women who pertain to a Family's Health Unity in Cajazeiras, city of Paraiba. Fifty women
between 35 and 65 years old were selected for the research, because it is exploratory, with
quantitative character. In September and October of 2011 happened the collect of reports,
visiting residences, through of interviews with structured screenplay. The informations
collected were processed for Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) program,
presented in tables, with frequency and percentual. The results explain that the intensity of
climateric sintomatology was light in 22%, moderated in 68% and accentuated in 10% of the
evaluated women, and the prevalent manifestations were the nervosism (62%), headache
(46%) and depression (44%). Despite hadn't statistic significance between Kupperman
Menopausal Index and the variations age, marital status, scholar level, lace, occupation,
bodily activity and menopausal state, was verified that the discoveries confirm a tendency of
climateric sintomatology be more strong in women with age above 49 years old, with fixed
buddy, with scholar level minor, small lace, housewife and not practice bodily activity. These
facts confirm the influence of the socioeconomic factors, gynecologic data and health
indicators in intensity of climateric sintomatology, reinforcing the importance of educational
and preventive actions conducted to women in climateric, specifically the incentive to practice
of regular bodily activity, the treatment of clinic diseases, objectiving assure the health and
life's quality of this women.
