Resumen:
This work aims to explain the relationship between play and the
child's cognitive development. In view of the collaboration of the ludic for the
child, the work begins with a brief discussion about playing and its
contributions, addressing the importance of the act of playing, the child's illusory world and
playing at school. It also provides a brief overview of the contributions of
Vygotsky despite the child's developmental process, as well as the
recognition of playing for the same. In this way, it is worth mentioning also the
playing while influencing learning, some observed practices and some
students' positions on playing. The research also reports
experiences of the Supervised Internship in Teaching where playing has been
present as a fundamental tool in teaching practice. It is a
qualitative research, which used interviews as a data collection instrument,
observation and documentary sources, such as Diário de Campo and Portfolio. Concludes
so play is indispensable for children at all stages of their lives, and
can also be considered a great ally of the teacher as an influencer in the
teaching-learning process.
