Résumé:
We aim with this monograph to express our concern with the issue
because it is urgent to understand our participation in the destruction of the
environment and what we should do to preserve it. From this reflection on
teaching practice we elaborated the following guiding question, which is the understanding of
second year students of elementary school I about the environment? Is that
how can we work on environmental preservation based on this understanding?
Through these questions we elaborate the objectives: To analyze the importance of
environmental preservation for elementary school students,
Investigate what students understand about the environment and identify the
practices of students in the classroom in relation to environmental education. The monograph
it is organized in three chapters and is organized as follows: In the first chapter
we present a theoretical discussion focused on the importance of Preservation
Environmental from some authors such as: Carvalho (2006); Reigota (1998); Sousa
(2008); Tabanez (1998), among others that supported the theoretical discussion. At the
second chapter we have the methodological procedure in which we highlight the
contextualization of the theme, the choice of field and research subjects, the
instruments for data collection: observation of classroom dynamics and
semi-structured interview with five students. In the third chapter we have the analysis of
collected data and students' understanding of the topic addressed. To
finalizing the research we conclude how important it is to work on
classroom activities and reflections aimed at preserving the environment, to
beyond our private space, and that the school has a large share of contribution
so that beneficial transformations occur in the daily actions of students from
different ages.
