Abstract:
This work aims to show the historical synopsis of the pen, as well as its theories, as a purpose, regarding the prison and the reality of the Brazilian prison system. For that, we adopted the methods of empirical and deductive approach, method of monographic procedure and bibliographical, academic and documentary research. The situation of Brazilian prisons is critical because it is marked by overcrowding and constant violations of human rights, as well as the lack of minimum conditions for the fulfillment of the sentence in a dignified manner, where the prisoner's resocialization process does not exist, and the indices of recidivism are alarming, characterizing a deep bankruptcy of the prison system and penal, where the results are the increasing increase of the violence, the crime and the sensation of insecurity experienced by the whole society. Even if society has evolved a lot, social problems are still present. Most of the Criminal Organizations settle in peripheries of the city, where people are humble and with very low quality of life. Places like these are lacking the help of the state, which also happens to the rest of the population without discrimination. Otherwise, these criminal organizations or Factions settle inside the Prison System, promoting Riots and rebellions, turning into great crises that should be administered by the prison system. The study of Crisis Management, as in any other branch of scientific knowledge, there is a need for the establishment of certain basic principles and definitions for greater doctrinal uniformity.
