Resumo:
The habits of consumption of people have changed and tend to continue changing, people
seek ease in their purchases, as well as possessing information in this era that we live. The
supermarkets must be ready to meet the new demand, the physical arrangement is extremely
important, impacting directly on the purchase of customers. This work has the objective of
analyzing the physical arrangement of two supermarkets located in Sousa, a city in Paraiba
backlands, through the questionnaire applied to the customers of the supermarkets, we have
shown the impacts on the purchase options, through the physical arrangement. It was possible
to conclude that customers have little time to make their purchases, and that the supermarkets
have to become attractive to them, with items well exposed, making them go through all the
aisles, being able to visualize as many products as possible, and consequently, purchasing
more.
