Resumo:
The term bullying concerns the brutal actions that bully frighten and intimidate. And, if
configured as a variety of behaviors of abuse, promoted by one or more individuals,
with the goal to achieve another. What distinguishes bullying from other forms of
aggression is the repetitive and systematic nature, this practice has. On the other
hand, there is the intention of the aggressor to cause damage and harm the interest
of someone seen as more fragile. Probably, the phenomenon of bullying has always
existed. Currently, he is identified in several countries worldwide. Bullying, it
discriminates against, offend, exclude, intimidate and assault so cruel to his victim, in
complete disregard to the legal safeguards imposed by the legal practice, to preserve
the physical integrity and human dignity. The consequences of bullying are
generated by several. Harmful effects of short and long term are generated on the
victims of these practices. The lack of specific legislation on bullying does not prevent
a judicial response to the attacks, as the legal mother has a legal mechanism that
can protect the victims of such violence, whether committed in school, the workplace
or through new communication technologies. In recent years, the increasing cases of
bullying and as a way to curb this practice has been directed the victims to claim
compensation from their abusers for damages. In the school context, it has been
promoted to Education in Human Rights, believing that this practice serves as a
powerful tool to combat bullying.
