Resumo:
Physics teaching has been a topic that generates discussions in undergraduate and graduate students, seeking transformations and improvements in the way Physics has been treated and transmitted in the country's education network. Seeking to analyze how the teaching of Physics is occurring and what training has the teachers who are teaching the subject of Physics in High School, a survey was conducted with students from the various undergraduate courses at the Federal University of Campina Grande - Education Center and Health. A literary review was also made on: the implementation of Physics Education in Brazil at its various levels; the formation of physics teachers; teaching work and the challenges faced by teachers; and teaching methodologies. In our analyzes, we noticed some difficulties in the ways of transmitting knowledge and in the teaching and learning process, since ancient times. The analysis and interpretation of the data demonstrate that the Physics Education, despite so many curricular reform proposals, continues to be taught mostly, by the traditional method.
