Abstract:
The History of Science is considered an indispensable knowledge for the humanization
of science as well as cultural enrichment, and therefore takes on the link capable of
connecting science and society. It is notable that long science education has proved
unsatisfactory and presented a variety of problems, which make the learning of natural
science subjects has been presented insignificant. Faced with this problem, several
studies have been developed regarding the importance of history and philosophy of
science for teaching, since the use of historical knowledge can act quite significantly in
teaching and individual learning process. In this context, this study aimed to investigate
and discuss the presence of history of science in ENEM chemistry issues for 2010-2015,
which are present in the notebook corresponding questions area of the natural sciences
and technologies. During the research showed the importance of the inclusion of the
history of science in the ENEM. Thus, it has listed also the importance of the ENEM,
since nowadays it has been of fundamental importance for students who seek to join a
college. For this, a qualitative and quantitative research, based on a desk research of
chemical issues ENEM was made, which were present in the science questions book of
nature and its technologies, the period from 2010 to 2015. The results show that It not
found whether only one question intended to indirectly mention the history of chemical
science. Given the survey can be seen that most of the subjects are related to current
issues, leading us to believe that this is the reason of historical facts are forgotten. The
history of science is a tool that can enable improvements in the educational process,
since knowledge should not be understood as an isolated group, but rather a
construction of facts and findings which are in continuous change. One can also realize
the importance of using the history of science, from the study of several journal articles
that address this issue as essential in the teaching / learning process.
