Abstract:
In this work we study the development of Electronics to Photonics. He
has a historical and descriptive character about the main achievements and advances of technologies
current. Electronics dominates all the technologies present in our lives, although
limits of miniaturization have reached, it remains a reference in the production of
new technologies.
Fotônica, in turn, is more recent, although it is part of the great advances
in research and application. Several parts of the world use it in their equipment. However, the various components, both of Electronics, and of Photonics with the
miniaturization, gave rise to nanotechnology that is responsible for this new molding
of equipment.
On the other hand, the search for space and flexibility opens the door to use
of organic components that have conductive properties. They have won every
more space in electronics, as well as the need for devices that withstand extreme temperature and voltage conditions make room for the study of semiconductors
WBG, which are the long gap semiconductors.
