Resumen:
The counties of New Forest cuite and are inserted into the drive geoenvironmental Plateau
Borborema. The main body of the dam is accumulation Boqueirao Pier which supplies
both cities. The quality of water for human consumption should be considered as an
essential factor in the development of actions Services Water Supply, whether public or
private so that the water delivered to the user has all the characteristics determined by
existing laws (Decree 518 / 04 of MS). The objective of this work is to characterize the
presence of cations, in these waters, with physical and chemical analyzes to identify and
volumetric values of pH, conductivity, turbidity, hardness and apply micoremulsoes for
extraction of cations. For this study, water samples were collected in polyethylene bottles
in triplicate nine points. Being three points weir (AAi, AAn and AAm) three in the city of
New Forest (ANi ANn and ANm) and three city cuite (ACi, ACn and ACm). A
microemulsion is an effective alternative for the extraction of metals, microemulsion
systems used as the extractants cations. Sistetizado as surfactant were saponified coconut
oil (OCS) used as isopropyl alcohol as a cosurfactant and kerosene phase oil (FO) in a ratio
C / T equal to 4. Pseudoternarios two diagrams representing microemulsionas systems
were established in order to delimit the regions of existence of systems Winsor in water
before and after treatment. The region Winsor I I is quite effective due to the increased
interfacial area, which facilitates the transport of ions from the aqueous phase to the
organic phase. Identified in the extraction FA volumetry complexation. The organic phase
reextraimos with the cations with sulfuric acid to reusing the organic phase into another
extraction. The physico-chemical (pH, conductivity and turbidity) were within the
potability standards established by legislation with some points that deserve our attention,
the volumetric analysis of complexation had very high rates of hardness exceeding 500 mg
L"1 in terms of CaCC»3 . The extraction was effective reaching 93.1% of cations extracted
due to the presence of acid in stripping the reuse of the microemulsion may be favorable,
even if the percentage being in the range of 46.5% to 50.2%.
