Resumo:
The Moringa oleifera belongs to the family of moringaceas, being from India. It is a dry climate
plant, as it requires little water, then adapting well to the climate of Northeast Brazil.lt has a high
nutritional value, therefore serves food in Africa. Its seed, according to the literature, can be used
for purification of water contaminated with heavy and turbid metals without changes in pH of the
treated water passing through the biosorption process, which is a mechanism used in the treatment
of water contaminated by heavy metals. The water treatment is needed, as when causing harm to the
population as a serious illness and risk of infections.Long water have been treated with chemicals
which in most cases are expensive. An alternative and low-cost way to treat water is the Moringa
oleifera seed, which can be grown in your garden. The waters that were analyzed were the city of
New Forest drilled wells to solve the water crisis experienced by the population.
The water was mixed with 0.2g / ml in 300 mL of crushed seed of water and stirred at 550 rpm and
placed at rest for approximately 24 hours sedimentation. They were evaluated for turbidity, pH,
determining chlorides, hardness, conductivity, total solids, water analyzed Moringa seeds. The use
of natural polymer obtained from Moringa improved the quality of the water analyzed, such that
turbidity decreases, chlorides lowered, the hardness had decreased in comparison with aluminum
sulfate with smaller values of the physico-chemical parameters.
