Abstract:
Perovskites are ceramic materials with wide use in various fields, especially in catalysis,
where recent studies show the versatility and performance of these catalytic materials. The
aim of this study was to synthesize an oxide structure AB03, CeCo03, and characterize it
by X-ray diffraction, Rieltveld method, thermogravimetry and derivative thermogravimetry
to analyze loss / mass gain during calcination. The obtained powder was heated at 300 ° C
and calcined up to 1000 0 C. The material was synthesized from the Pechini method
modified by replacing the citric acid with ethylene glycol by commercial gelatin. The
results were satisfactory, since there is dust formation with perovskite structure. The
material exhibits good thermal stability and cationic vacancies, favorable factors for
catalytic reactions.
