Resumo:
This work monographic proposed investigate the police investigation in the Brazilian legal
system by examining their applicability, its effectiveness and its efficiency. The study was
conducted through literature search, text and Internet journalism to prove that the facts
reported. The work presented was based on the solution of some issues such as: Getting
historical the police investigation, the types, concept and function of the judicial police. The
nature of the investigation, their goals, purpose, powers, duties, subject to whom it is
intended, in addition to addressing the development of criminal action, invalidity,
prescindibilidade, trancamento the investigation, and their immunities. Addressing on the
probative value of the survey, their real principles of truth, evidence of illegal by pass, system
of assessment, time, collection, evidence. The importance of the examination of body of
crime, analysis of the value, the evidence during the investigation. In the end, study concludes
that importance of the police investigation as informative character, and that is to establish a
fact criminal purpose and its authors, enabling, prosecution, the crimes of criminal action
public, the bringing of criminal action sentence.
