Resumen:
The discussion about the agrarian issue is a central point to understand many of our
economic and social differences and, the Sociology teaching is, potentially, an open
area to bring this subject up for discussion. This capstone, from the Marxism dialectical
materialist conception, discusses the Sociology teaching in Monteiro-PB, focusing on
understanding how the agrarian issue happens there once it is a big deal in the area.
If there is Sociology in the curriculum on the training that the teachers need to complete
to be able to work in this area and also if it is on the Sociology teacher’s planning in
the High School in this town. Therefore, we sought to inquire about four public schools,
they are: Federal Institute of Education in Paraíba, in Monteiro, Integral Technical
Citizen School José Leite de Souza, Public High School Miguel Santa Cruz and Public
High School Bento Tenório de Sousa – Field School. As final consideration we pointed
out our outcome, showing the agrarian issue is not being considered at any level of the
planning, even on the school’s documents as on the class’s planning.
