Resumo:
The present article aims to identify the perception, awareness and degree of interest for the
subject for undergraduate students in Administration of the UFCG Campina Grande campus.
The theme of Social Business is a new business model that focuses on providing benefits that
can meet social demands and transform the living conditions of low income people or
vulnerable groups, and / or environmental protection. While promoting their financial
sustainability. It was considered important to carry out studies that seek to identify the
approach of this theme in the process of training future administrators, in order to understand
how the theme is being treated in the learning environment, so that it can stimulate people to
understand the importance of NIS and stimulate entrepreneurship with a focus on social. To
do so, a survey was conducted, with a sample of 175 students from the UFCG Administration
graduation course. The research results show that most students claim to have some
knowledge about the subject and have medium to high interest in NIS, and the most
commonly used means of updating for them is the higher education institution itself. The
main contribution of this study is in the identification of the way that the subject is treated in
the formation of the professional of Administration directed to social enterprises.
