Resumen:
Quality of Life in Work is a term that has been expanding due to the various studies carried
out in the most different fields of knowledge and has a high subjectivity because it is related
to the intrinsic and extrinsic aspects of the life of the individual. Quality of life at work can be
defined as the actions of an organization that involves the implementation of innovations and
managerial and technological improvements in the work environment. The main objective of
this study was to identify the perception of the employees of a food industry in the state of
Paraíba regarding the factors determining the QWL, according to the BPSO model of
Limongi-França (1996). For its elaboration a quantitative approach was used and the
exploratory and descriptive research model was adopted. The research is still classified as a
case study, where the data were collected through the application of a questionnaire adapted
from the Biopsychosocial Organizational (BPSO) model of Limongi-França (1996), where
they were applied to 38 employees of the company Alpha and data were analyzed using the
mean as a statistical tool. The analysis of the organizational and psychological dimensions
revealed higher levels of positive perception regarding Quality of Life at Work. The
biological and social dimensions revealed neutral levels of perception regarding QWL. The
analysis of the general results of the four dimensions of the BPSO model demonstrated that
there is a neutrality in the perception of the employees of the administrative sector of the
organization considered as object of study about the factors and variables of QWL, but with
variables that still need adaptations so that workers to obtain a higher level of QWL, such as
salary, health plan and cost aid for external courses.
