The theme of this work is the “Practice of School Evaluation in the state and municipal schools of Sousa and Nazarezinho. Our intention is to analyze the current practice of school educational evaluation in the educational reality and in the socio-economic-political context of Brazilian society and its possible overcoming through intra-school ways. We intend to order and systematize this analysis and subsequent preposition of a way of acting in a more organic and appropriate way that can mean an advance beyond the limits of which the practice of educational assessment in the classroom is demarcated today. Therefore, this work describes about school evaluation specifically. It is known that the evaluation has been the object of criticism, and has been a weapon of the teacher against the student, that they have suffered the most severe penalties in the course of the teaching-learning process. Our interest in investigating "The Practice of Assessment" arose from the readings, studies and discussions carried out in the classroom, in the most diverse disciplines and particularly in Principles and Methods of School Supervision, where it became evident the need to deepen the issue of assessment in the current educational context.
