Abstract:
Good personal financial management enables individuals to better control financial gains and
expenses. The present work has the objective of analyzing the personal financial management
practices adopted by teachers of the Federal Institutions of Higher Education installed in the
city of Sousa / PB. For this, a field study was conducted, characterizing itself as a descriptive
research of quantitative approach. The data collection was done through a questionnaire with
18 questions, and a sample of 68 teachers was obtained. From the tabulation of the data, it
was verified that the majority of the teachers are able to pay the bills and still have the money,
that they plan the expenses of the month in advance, that they are with the current accounts
and that they usually invest. It can be concluded that the researched teachers, for the most
part, are practicing good personal financial management practices.
