Resumo:
An ephemerality hangs over human relationships, which are shaped by a kind of liquid modernity, fluid, superficial and that directs subjects more and more to individuality and isolation. Under this bias, it can be considered that the present man develops superficial relations that little denote his experience bringing a closure in itself. Thus, the present work starts from the understanding that the construction of subjectivity occurs in a historical-dialectical way, that is, it is based on the history and social functioning in which it is inserted. Thus, based on a bibliographic research of the narrative type of exploratory character, which intercepts mainly the theoretical propositions of Zygmunt Bauman on postmodernity and Carl Rogers regarding the therapeutic relationship proposed by the Person Centered Approach (ACP) . We aim to discuss to what extent the functioning of liquid modernity, shaped by the fluidity of relationships and identities, infiltrates the therapeutic relationship proposed by the ACP. The results indicate a possible
rigidity to the therapeutic encounter, by this, summoning those involved deals with a totally oppositional proposal to the functioning that liquidity imposes on the subjects. However, it is observed that the challenge posed by modern liquidity to what is proposed by Rogerian psychotherapy is not capable of capturing the power of the Roggerian clinic.
