Abstract:
From the earliest steps of the republican period in Brasil, issues related to public
education were born with the oppressive force of the ruling elite over the mass of
workers. Nowadays, although with significant advances in constitutional rights, issues
related to education, such as continuing teacher training, still generate controversy and
discussion. This research had as general objective to know the perceptions of the
teachers of the municipal network of education of the municipality of São Francisco-PB
in relation to the policies of training, development and education (TD & E) of people.
The bibliographic review dealt with the evolution of the Human Resources
Administration, the TD & E processes and the People Management in the Public
Service. The methodological procedures were classified in exploratory, descriptive,
quantitative, field and documentary. Data were collected in June 2017 through a
questionnaire adapted from the INEP, with 30 multiple choice questions, scaled and
divided into six dimensions. Among the main conclusions, it is highlighted that the
majority of teachers declared a need for specializations, especially in the area of
students with disabilities and special needs.
