Resumo:
The world has been undergoing constant changes, all areas of science have been facing
transformations often, in front of the large number of information inserted fiercely in society.
With the Administration is no different, the methods and techniques have been adapting
according to the years. The student of educational institutions will be the future administrator,
that is, will be a social agent, capable of promoting changes in the environment in which it
operates. Given its importance, it would be relevant to know the profile of this future
Administrator. The present research had the objective of tracing the socioeconomic profile of
the students of the Administration Course of the Center of Juridical and Social Sciences of the
Federal University of Campina Grande, seeking also to discover aspects of the social, cultural
and academic reality of said students. The methodology used for this work was through
descriptive and exploratory research, of a quantitative nature, through a structured
questionnaire. The research universe consisted of all students actively enrolled in the Course
and classes were frequent. The data were organized and tabulated with the aid of the Excel
program, using descriptive statistics, for the generation of graphs and tables. It was concluded
with this research that most of the universe is male, is between 16 and 27 years old, is
considered white and brown, are single, live at home or apartment, still live with the family,
studied fully in public school and attended regular education. The majority of the students
said that they had an income of less than 1 to 2 minimum wages, family income between 1
and 5 minimum wages, worked in activity in which they prepared themselves, worked in the
private sector, and had the area of commerce and other services as line of work. The main
reasons for choosing the course were: identification and desire to do the same, lack of choice
in the locality where you reside, the claim to obtain a diploma and a better job. Among the
issues of greatest interest and concern on the part of the students, questions related to public
services and the economic situation of the country, stood out. The research is important to the
extent that its results serve as the basis for an environmental analysis, which provides for the
preparation of didactic planning, and the construction of student policies that attract and
encourage students at the University.
