Resumo:
Nowadays, the matter of university suffering is gaining more and more
visibility. Faced with the demands of contemporaneity and the recent news of
suicides and attempts attributed to academic causes, it is increasingly necessary to
conceive spaces to promove attention and support to students, so that collective
endurance can be articulated, in an environment that disseminates individualism and
competitiveness every day. The present research aims to understand how the
support groups constitute themselves as spaces of promotion of affiliation for
students of higher education through the implementation of creativity workshops in
the Clinical School of Psychology of the Federal University of Campina Grande.
Semi-structured interviews were conducted out with six students who participated in
a support group led in said service. The collected material was analyzed through the
Thematic Analysis, a modality of Content Analysis. The categories found in the
results were: Obstacles to Permanence, Consequences of Adversities, Workshops
for Resilience and Changes and Potentialities. The results showed an improvement
in the way students dealt with university issues and the creative workshops proved to
be promising strategies for this purpose. It is believed that the study will allow new
directions of strategies to deal with university suffering. It is understood that the
university experience does not have to be a tortuous, exhausting and discouraging
trajectory. There are other ways of thinking about the university and this research is
an invitation to explore this alternative.
