Interest capitalization is a problem that has plagued borrowers who contract with institutions that are part of the National Financial System, since, over time, it is one of the most striking factors in the context of overindividuality. When transplanted to the scope of rural credit, the capitalization of interest proves to be even more problematic, since it is permitted by specific legislation, regardless of whether it is a credit line intended to promote primary activity, which is vitally important for the economic development of the country. parents. Thus, it is necessary to contextualize the permissibility of interest capitalization in rural credit, having as a guide the new contractual theory and the Consumer Protection Code, based on the principle of objective good faith and transparency in contractual relations, in order to protect the borrower. -adherent, preventing abuses from being committed by financial institutions, especially when agreeing the capitalization of interest in contracting credit.
