Resumo:
The work consists in analyzing the applicability of efficiency in public administration
from the perspective of the Brazilian Constitution, questioning its relevance in the
provision of public services and how is this application. It is divided into three parts;
The Constitutional principles, focusing on the concept, function and classification;
The role of principles in the Brazilian government, analyzing the conceptual aspects,
the governing principles and attributes of validity of law principles in force, and at the
end considerations about the applicability of the Principle of Efficiency in the delivery
of public services by analyzing their requirements and modern design. To achieve
the objectives proposed methods were used: literature, historical evolution,
exegetical and legal in order to collect information necessary to achieve the research.
The problems of work is to analyze what is expected, in terms of efficiency and
quality of public administration. It was found that with the administrative reform and
the consequent increase in the principle of efficiency, there is the Brazilian legal
system, greater supervision and monitoring by the Board on the results of public
services provided by the State.
