Abstract:
The career management subject has faced many changes around their concepts over the past
years due to factors such as globalization, technological advancement, unemployment,
increased outsourcing, among others. This research aimed to know the career direction from
Administration Course students UFCG Campus Sousa from flexible complementary
activities. For this, they were listed concepts of career management issue from the perspective
of several authors. It was also part of the theoretical survey research career management
process, through self-development, the relevance of the management course for the
professional development of scholars and the concept of career anchors. The importance of
teaching triad, research and extension at the university, and the issue of skills was also
discussed. The methodological way followed consisted of desk research in periodic reports
prepared by the Commission of Evaluation of Complementary Activities Flexible
Administration Course, analyzing for complementary activities which students were directed.
Then, it was also done an analysis in the Lattes Platform, checking how many students have
updated their resume between the years 2015 and 2016. As a result, it was identified that most
students Administration Course UFCG - Campus Sousa directed them to activities related to
extension. Thus, this work will contribute to the realization of new studies related to career
management, and to encourage the next course students thinking about managing their career
still in undergraduate, as well as, conduct research to verify the real reasons that led the
students conduct their complementary activities for the extension.
