Resumo:
The job market comes passing by constant transformations that are caused by economic factors,
social, economic and political. Given these accelerated changes it is necessary to plan your
career to prepare for these changes. The career planning is a tool that allows you to set goals
and objectives, as well as outlining strategies for which an individual can achieve their goals.
This study aims to analyze the students’ perception of Administration about career planning.
For this are addressed issues related to career choice in business administration, professional
expectations and use of methods and techniques for planning and career development. To
achieve the proposed objective, quantitative methodology was adopted in an exploratory and
descriptive study, with the application of structured questionnaire to 149 (one hundred and
fourty nine) students from all periods in the course of administration of the UFCG campus de
Sousa-PB. The data resulting from the survey were analyzed on the basis of the theoretical
framework raised about career in business administration, career management and career
planning and development. Through this analysis, it was found that students consider important
to plan your career, and more still have self-knowledge to manage it. In addition, it was found
that the undergraduates tend to align their personal and professional interests in order to have
quality of life in the activity that will engage. The students do not consider their professional
expectations have been built through the course of administration. Regarding the actions that
the students intend to perform after the course, the main ones are: to provide an open, do a
master's degree or specialization. As the priorities for its professional design, respondents want
to have quality of life, personal satisfaction, professional achievement and reconcile
professional and personal life.
