Resumo:
The Harvest Guarantee Program is a federal government program for farmers, which will be
dealt with "PRONAF B" and who had losses on crops covered by insurance, at least 50% of
the program set of cultures that are: beans, corn, rice, cassava, cotton and other crops
depending on the program's management committee and respecting the specificities of each
region (EMATER, 2015). This research aims to describe aspects of the Program Harvest
Guarantee and verify the ownership of the registered persons and the related cultivation to the
program in the municipality of São José da Lagoa Tapada - PB, in the year 2015. For this
descriptive survey was conducted, document and quantitative, based on secondary data
obtained from the survey of the records of farmers conducted by EMATER - PB (Operative
Unit of the Municipality of São José da Lagoa Tapada - PB). As a result, for all 13
registration Poles, it has the most entries has two holders and that, in this case the
responsibility for the family's livelihood is the father. It was noticed that the entries with only
one holder, no relationship between the gender of the holder and the genre responsible for
supporting. As regards the cultivation, which has been cultivated area of 0.60 hectares has
greater proportion and the average is cultivated area of 0.74 hectares in 13 poles. Bean and
corn crops (together) are the most cultivated.
