Resumo:
Suicide is considered a public health problem and therefore deserves attention from professionals and family members. Because it is an old theme that remains in the present time, it is relevant because it involves subjective aspects of the subject, demanding the assistance of health professionals, especially psychologists. Objective: In this approach, the present study aimed to carry out a systematic review of the literature on suicide attempt in young women. Method: For this purpose, a thorough investigation was used in the index databases LILLACS, SCIELO-Brasil and PEPSIC, with researches in the area of psychology, where 4 manuscripts were retrieved. Results: In these articles it can be seen that the suicide attempts in women are recurrent, where the reasons are diverse, this subject is relevant because it is a public health problem, which involves not only the woman who attempted suicide , but rather, his family and the whole range of professionals involved. However, there is a lack of studies / works, especially in psychology, as well as a masking over the subject, which presents challenges for the present work, considering that it is necessary to devise ways of speaking and preventing suicide, thus bringing involve openness to the host and psychological support. Conclusions: It can be seen that the suicide attempt is recurrent, using different methods for this purpose, with the use of medication / intoxication being the most sought after. However there is a precariousness of studies on, mainly in the area of psychology; only four (4) articles were recovered directly from the area.
