International adoption is a topic of great relevance, because it is an institution able to re establish rights denied to children and adolescents, deserves a respectful attention in the legal
world. Therefore, it is important you do describe and analyze the Office of intercountry
adoption, reduce the number of children and adolescents who are helpless and deprived of
family living. In this study, we used the bibliographical research, rising texts and related
articles, in addition to legislation, Protocol and conventions. The study starts with the
definition of the concept of adoption, having a result with a brief history, legal nature, the
rights of children and adolescents and importance of surrogate family. Subsequently, the
international adoption in Brazil, scientific paper expounding concept and requirements, as
well as to international adoption in the Federal Constitution, the Statute of children and
adolescents and on the Hague Convention. Include also the crimes in the field of international
adoption, such as the international trafficking in children and adolescents. Combating these
crimes was strengthened through the law/2016 13,344, enabling adoption by foreigners,
which sometimes is in the barriers, legislation with Fulcrum in the speech of the preservation
of original culture of children and adolescents, when the that should be in the foreground is
the best for them, which are often deprecated by Brazilians, by age criteria, of color, race
and/or disabilities. Finally, it is an invitation to reflection about International Adoption, legal
