Resumen:
Cerebral palsy (CP) affects motor and muscle coordination in the infantile phase. After diagnosis, it modifies the whole family structure, generating exclusive dedication of many mothers, these being the main caregivers, when they are not the only ones, since the collection of a routine in several professional care and care with locomotion and vigilance. It is necessary to insert these mothers into the care process as an agent in the therapeutic process of their children. The experience report seeks to present the practice of two periods of the Psychology course of the Federal University of Campina Grande (UFCG), the Association of Parents and Friends of the Exceptional (APAE) in the city of Campina Grande-PB in an interprofessional group of psychology, physiotherapy and speech therapy, with four children and adolescents aged 10 to 17 years and their caretaker mothers. The objective of the report is to think about the role of psychology in an interdisciplinary group, regarding the indispensable points of a team and the care with the mothers-caregivers of children and adolescents diagnosed with cerebral palsy (CID10-G80). This was a work based on participative methodologies such as the tent of the story, talk wheel, community therapy and techniques of Community Social Psychology.
