Resumo:
The connectivity of the people is part of the modern world and the biggest example is
the e-commerce companies that year after year increase its revenues steadily. With
the arrival of this new model of doing business over the internet, also came changes
in the way people consume goods and services, thus creating new consumption
habits. In this context, this study aimed to study consumer habits online students of
Business Administration courses and Accounting from the Federal University of
Campina Grande campus Sousa - PB. The research is classified as the quantitativedescriptive, explanatory, field research, exploratory and literature, using the
application of a questionnaire to conduct interviews with the target audience of the
study. With the development of the study, it was possible to obtain data to trace the
demographic profile of the students surveyed, and it was perceived that they, in most
cases, have between 18 and 24 years old and are single, it fits perfectly with the
profile of student. It has been found that the internet is the main source of consumer
information in time to seek information about a product. It was concluded by
analyzing the data, the local consumer profile is very similar to the national profile,
proving that is already quite familiar with the online shopping environment, although
there are few companies that work with e-commerce in the region. So, this study may
serve as a basis for companies to start to see this environment to do business as
something essential to your business plan.
