Abstract:
This research aimed to examine how the manager of a large company based in the city of
Sousa-PB has been active in managing their intellectual capital and to verify the importance
of this intangible asset as a resource capable of generating wealth and add value throughout
the ages. This research will reveal how the manager directs its intellectual capital in
maximizing individual and collective knowledge, in achieving the objectives set by the
company and it conducts human assets in achieving a quality service. The methodology was
a case study in a large company based in the city of Sousa-PB, thereby seeking to
understand the way the human resource manager works its intellectual capital. The study
conducted at the company, the object of this research took place through two distinct stages,
the first was a questionnaire containing 15 questions for the human resources manager, and
the same was questioned about the three elements that make up the intellectual capital
(human capital, structural capital and customer capital). The second step was the application
of a questionnaire evaluating the company from the perspective of employees. By analyzing
the real importance of intellectual capital to the entity, the research aimed to address the
essence of the intangible elements with their trainers, namely human capital, structural
capital and customer capital, so that treating these elements together, turn into competitive
advantages with the competition. Since in today's globalized economy knowledge is the main
strategic weapon for companies who want to get success in a market increasingly
competitive. Therefore, the results obtained from this research were positive, since the
intellectual capital of the company examined was considered the most valuable and essential
to your success.
