Résumé:
In Brazil and in the world there has been growing concern about the teaching of Administration and,
although each country has fulfilled its own evolution until reaching solutions compatible with its
needs, some solutions known worldwide are followed and celebrated. Thinking about it, the present
research has the goal of knowing the particularities and characteristics of the Administration`s courses
of public universities of Paraíba based on theirs Course Pedagogical Project (PPC). Therefore, the
study in question is a descriptive and descriptive exploratory qualitative research, raising information
from Public Administration Courses of Public Institutions of the Paraíba´s state through its
institutional sites. There was found and analyzed five Course Pedagogical Project from four Federal
University: Federal Institute of Paraíba - IFPB João Pessoa campus, State University of Paraíba -
UEPB Campina Grande campus, Federal University of Campina Grande - UFCG Sousa campus and
Federal University of Paraíba - UFPB Bananeiras and João Pessoa campus. The results showed that in
the case of the 5 PPCs there is a difference between some curricular components, for example: in the
Federal Institute of Paraíba - IFPB the English for Business, Health and Labor and Libras subjects are
highlighted. At the State University of Paraíba - UEPB, the disciplines are focused on the labor
market, with curricular components such as: Investment Analysis, Brazilian Economy, Business and
public Budget. At the Federal University of Campina Grande - UFCG the differential of the
curriculum in relation to the other courses is in the Business Writing and Administration of Services.
At the Federal University of Paraíba - UFPB, Bananeiras campus, the disciplines are geared more
towards agribusiness, with disciplines such as: Agribusiness Fundamentals, Agribusiness Logistics
and other disciplines, while at the UFPB in João Pessoa campus, the focus is on industry and
Commerce. In terms of research and extension each university has its projects and that such projects
provide the student with opportunities to develop their skills, analyze situations and propose changes
in the organizational and societal environment, producing knowledge. Regarding the work of course
conclusion, each university has its manuals and follow the norms of the ABNT. As conclusion of the
research we see the importance of pedagogical projects as a guide to university actions. Nonetheless,
there is a need for some initiatives to demonstrate that teaching in business can use other forms than
the traditional matrix. Most pedagogical practices in the area focus on "transmission for use" rather
than positioning for knowledge creation.
