Resumo:
This study aimed to verify the satisfaction of trade workers in the city Sousa - PB in relation to
Quality of Life at Work (QVT). For this, research was characterized as an observational study using
the technique of extensive direct observation; held in companies operating in trade Sousa -PB, with
a sample of 100 individuals who agreed to participate in the study, selected by the Technical for
convenience. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire replicated the study Rosado
(2013), during the month of May of this year. For data analysis we used descriptive statistics for
quantitative data. The results showed that the working conditions (hygiene, lighting, organization)
are suitable partially, and thus defend the idea that your workplace is not harmful to your health;
meanwhile, the materials that are available to them are inadequate for performing the work.
Regarding the use and development of their potential, most say not to have autonomy in the
workplace and strongly disagree that is recognized by the contribution of their activities. On the
issue of growth opportunities and security, most respondents say the company is not able to provide
job stability, as well as the company does not offer a good plan for jobs and wages and does not
allow the career advancement for all positions. Finally, almost all companies of Sousa trade - PB
does not develop any formal program of quality of working life, encompassing all aspects of QVT,
and has the participation of all. In this context, it is considered that there is significant
dissatisfaction with most aspects linked to the quality of life practiced by the organizations, and the
theme QVT should be no doubt, a growing and motivating concern for all companies looking to
maintain a high performance and competitiveness in increasingly globalized markets
