Resumo:
Studies on Quality of Life at Work (QWL) have intensified in recent times
in an attempt to understand problems experienced in the organizational environment. The goal
of this article was to assess the quality of life at work of the Company's employees
Paraíba Calçados LTDA, based on Walton's model (1973). In this sense, it became necessary to know the employees' perception of the company's actions, related to
to QVT, according to criteria specified in that model. The study has a
descriptive and the approach is predominantly quantitative, with the case study as
research strategy. A questionnaire was applied, containing 35 questions, based on the
criteria of QVT proposed by Walton (1973), with the company's employees, except for the
manager and sub-manager, since the questionnaire was intended only for employees without
management positions. The results obtained with the research revealed higher rates of
satisfaction on the part of the workers regarding the criteria related to working conditions,
the use and development of capacities, social integration in the organization,
constitutionalism and the social relevance of work in life.
