Resumo:
Amidst the growth of competitiveness, there are organizational practices that are concerned,
as a rule, to induce society to consumption. Despite the positive aspects of this,
negative aspects are evidenced that result in aggression to the environment and dysfunctions
social. In this context, the need for social innovation arises, in which practices performed both
organizations and society can repair damage caused by themselves - via
projects aimed at different areas. That said, this work aimed to map the
social demands for social innovation in the city of Cajazeiras, Paraíba. As a basis,
the areas covered by the HDI, applied in the city of Cajazeiras with the beneficiaries of the
Bolsa Família. It constitutes an exploratory and descriptive field research. To meet the
objective, a questionnaire consisting of 20
closed questions according to the HDI indicators, which are on Income / Work, Health and
Education. The results obtained by the survey show that 55% of those surveyed go to the dentist
only when they need it and 45% more than once a year. It was also found that 53% of
beneficiaries know any child or adolescent who works, that 52% of beneficiaries
they know children who don't go to school and 78% say they know illiterate people. Still
among the relevant results, 45% say they never visited the Public Library of the
