Abstract:
This research aimed to analyze the environmental performance of the company Petrobras Distributor S/A, during the period of 2009-2014, from the hint of investments made by this company focusing on environmental preservation, which aroused interest in the area. Through a set of perceptions it was necessary to measure the actions that were aimed at environmental preservation, an important tool in the disclosure of the spendings on preservation, conservation and damage control to the environment. This investigation was made through quantitative methods that allowed the attainment of financial data on the Social Financial Reports of the organization, which enabled the measurement of environmental indicators. At a first moment, concepts based from this issue were presented and they supported the realization of the empirical research from the analysis of the data. Thus, the Petrobras company has had a regular environmental performance till the year of 2013, being insuficiente in 2014.
