Abstract:
Higher education had its genesis with the emergence of the first universities, created in
countries like Italy, France and England. In Brazil this started from 1934 with the founding of
the University of São Paulo. As regards the introduction of the Administration Course, the
first initiatives refer to the early twentieth century, when the country was in full commercial
expansion and when the administrative character requirements were present, resulting in the
need to organize education commercial. In this context, the present study aimed to evaluate
the perceptions of students about the curriculum and the didactic and pedagogical strategies
effected by the Administration Course teachers. Methodologically the study was characterized
by an exploratory qualitative research. The subjects were 25 students of this 9th period UFCG
Administration Course campus Sousa-PB. For data collection, it was used as a tool and a
structured questionnaire was used the Likert scale for calculating the Average Ranking (RM),
which assigns a value of 1 to 5 for each questionnaire response. Regarding the results, in view
of the students, the course still has limitations on the respective procedures proposed by the
current limitations and curriculum to develop them, which points out that adjustments must
pass in order to improve the training of students. We conclude that MRI ranged between
regular and good. The data show that despite the efforts driven by teachers and also the
students there are weaknesses to be overcome and discussions to build more prepared
professionals for the labor market by developing these, the real possibility of tying theory and
practice.
