Resumen:
This work is the result of a whole range of studies, read and reread, discussed, questioned about Brazilian society. Education as part of this process, the role of the textbook, and more specifically, the teaching of Brazilian history in the 5th grade of the 1st grade. This study arose out of our interest and admiration for this discipline and was developed in a municipal public school in Cajazeiras. After the observation phase, we made an analysis around the textbook adopted by the teacher, the observations themselves and the implementation of the proposal through conversations with the teacher regarding the teaching of history and its practice in the classroom.
