Resumo:
Society is increasingly demanding with the factor of socio-environmental companies,
charging them in a direct or indirect participation and a greater concern for the environment
and people in general. Given this context, organizations are seeking ways to measure its
position, demonstrating with their actions more transparent sustainable, with the
environmental reporting in this new challenge. The research objective was to identify
sustainable practices disclosed by the company Natura 2002 to 2009 period. The research
was quantitative, since some actions that addressed sustainable measured them and putting
them in charts for better understanding. Were used for bibliographies and reviews of
foundation documents that were selected for the necessary data for the study which was
later analyzed and interpreted. This research showed some sustainable practices, such as
reducing water consumption, energy and CO 2 , recycling and encouraging the use of refill,
increased distribution of wealth to those involved with the company, increase the generation
of employment and income, involvement with the well welfare by supporting and encouraging
education and culture, among others, through a case study done at the company Natura S /
A, noting that sustainable development is possible, ie economic growth associated with
greater transparency actions and socio-environmental practices.
