Resumen:
Leadership is a complex phenomenon that has been much discussed in recent times.
What's in common between the research on the subject is that it is a group process
that takes place between two or more individuals for the purpose of achieving goals.
This makes research involving the leadership essential theme not only for
organizations, but for society as a whole. This study aimed to assess the leadership
profile of teachers of management courses and Accounting UFCG - Campus Sousa.
The research was quantitative character, quantitative, using exploratory descriptive
method. To collect the information, The research instrument used was the MLQ
(Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire®) Bass and Avolio (1995) considering
adaptations of Bigliazzi (2007), a questionnaire evaluating the leadership perspectives
named leadership transformational, transactional and non-transactional. The results of
the research show that the analyzed teachers fit Transformational Leadership profile,
which is interesting and desirable for the Institution. Another positive were the results
of results of factors, which showed a favorable environment for the leader to develop
their tasks. Non-Transactional Leadership factor was the lowest result in the survey,
what is also important, since this factor is not interesting for the organization.
